Tamara received her Master’s degree in Law from the University of Zagreb, after which she began working at the Croatian Authors’ Agency.
Her interest in intellectual property naturally stems from her deep understanding of the artistic world due to her affiliation with it – she is a flutist, dances and acts in amateur theatre. In addition, during her studies she gained valuable experience working for a Croatian publisher, which provided her with practical insight into the publishing industry. Also, through her work in the cinema sector she gained deep insight into the film industry and the distribution of audiovisual works. The topic of her thesis, Social Networks and International Data Transfer, further directed her professional orientation towards the protection of rights in the digital environment. The combination of legal expertise and creative sensibility allows Tamara to view intellectual property from the perspective of the creator, enabling the efficient application of legal mechanisms for its protection and enforcement within various creative industries. In her work, Tamara connects the legal framework with the dynamics of contemporary artistic, media and audiovisual trends, contributing to the preservation and protection of copyright and related rights within the same industries, with a special emphasis on the digital environment.
